About

Flower GirlWelcome!  I am so happy you discovered my page.  My name is Emily C. O’Connor (the ECO of Eco Skin Therapy).  The following 3 beliefs are the foundation of my skin care practice.

  1.  Skin care is health care. Your skin is your largest organ and reflects your interior landscape. Using healthy products free of toxins will inspire superior health for your entire body. We all know that products do not go ON your skin; they go directly IN to your body. I will help guide you to making optimal skin care recommendations completely customized to your own needs.
  2. Your Skin is an extension of your nervous system. In our fast paced culture, we are easily led astray from natural rhythm. The facials I provide re-establish your nervous system to create a sense of peace and calm we rarely experience in our daily lives.  They are an ideal antidote to our go-go-go lives and allow your mind to relax and let go. The effects that has on your skin are tremendous.  Your skin will feel balanced, nurtured and protected.
  3. Movement is key! Without manual movement of your face and neck, there can be no flow or detoxification. The treatments you receive here rely on movement through my hands and various massage tools to encourage lympathic circulation. We all know the impact exercise has on our bodies. Imagine what happens to our faces if they are never touched or moved….

A little bit about me - As a teenager, I struggled with cystic acne and was fortunate enough to have a mom who brought me in for monthly facials. It was then that I fell in love with esthetics. After graduating in 2003 from UW-Madison with a degree in dance, I went on to pursue study, work and volunteer opportunities in the healing arts. In 2006, I became a Licensed Esthetician and promptly completed my Dr.Hauschka Skin Care Certification.  Three years later, I opened my own practice in Madison. Since then, I have partnered with Laurel Whole Plant Organics and completed my hands-on Gua Sha training with internationally recognized teacher Cecily Braden.  Most recently, I completed a course of study to become a Facial Reflexologist. Being in my skin care studio is a happy haven for me. I love working one on one in a safe, trusting environment and I find the work of giving therapeutic facials to be meditative, soul-inspiring and heart-warming for us both. When I am not in my studio, I often embody the profile of a true Cancerian – I love being a mom to my young son and creating a warm and inviting home. I love the natural world and adore exploring on new adventures with my family. I look forward to meeting you and treating you to an incredible facial!
